AMEC National Industry Awards
The Association of Mining and Exploration Companies recognises the outstanding achievement of individuals who make a significant contribution to the development of the mineral exploration industry via the following National Industry Awards.
AMEC Prospector Award
This prestigious award for individual endeavour in the field of mineral exploration was first presented by AMEC in 1993. It is given to the individual/s who made the most outstanding mineral exploration discovery (or discoveries) in Australia within recent years. The Award is made in recognition of the discovery itself, as well as of the individual or team which discovered it, rather than the Company.

AMEC Media Awards
The AMEC National Awards began in 1984 and were the first of their kind in Australian jounalism. They are now one of the largest series of any industry awards in the country. The National Media Awards recognise excellence in Australian mineral resources journalism and its contribution to the understanding of the mineral exploration and mining industry during the year.
