Aboriginal Affairs Committee

The Aboriginal Affairs Committee provides advice and develops policy positions related to Native Title, Aboriginal heritage protection and other issues for adoption by Council. The Committee's work focuses largely on ongoing Native Title and indigenous heritage issues. Native Title issues relate to a range of claims and determinations, including the Wongatha, Central West and North West Area claims.

The Committee is also actively involved in the Western Australian Government's Regional Standard Heritage Agreements negotiation process.
