AMEC is pleased to advise that the development of the “Guidelines for the Resource and Reserve Estimation for Brines” is now complete and has been accepted by the Joint Ore Reserve Committee.
The guidelines were developed to support industry measure brine resources and to increase the transparency of a complex form of geology.
These guidelines can now be found on the AMEC website here, and a reference and link is also located on the JORC website here.
“This Brine Guideline will improve the consistency of information provided to the market and increase the transparency of a growing industry,” said Warren Pearce, Chief Executive Officer, Association of Mining and Exploration Companies.
“On behalf of AMEC, I would like to specifically thank the Joint Ore Reserve Committee for their acceptance of this document as a guideline.”
“I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of Kalium Lakes, AQ2 and Snowden in the finalisation of the document.”
“The JORC Code provides the framework for consistent mineral valuation, and this guideline provides a standardised methodology for the application of the JORC Code to brines,” said Mr Pearce.
